Aye, Carraba! (Beaumont Journal)

"I guess you showed them," said Grace Mandola, 96-year-old grandmother of Houston culinary veteran Johnny Carrabba. She was not talking about his sizzling success with Carrabba's Italian Grill with 250 locations in 32 states. Rather she was talking to his less experienced cousin, at the time, who had just run the off dishwashers in the middle of a shift.
